I prefer cold meat, cold showers, cold cup of tea and getting a cold to coldplay. They really do not agree with me so i have remixed there no 1 single from last month into a synthetic sloppy hippy jam session.

Yesterday at the brit awards coldplay won best british group. Not my personal choice i would have gone with fastlady. In attempt to remix coldplay i found it impossible to use chis Martin’s voice as i didn’t want to vomit on my laptop so i made a classical sounding piece made using samples of  the starting bars of Viva La Vida.

For this piece i created a polymeter movement out of the the opening trumpet notes of the Stylistics ‘I Can’t Give You Anything (But My Love)’ ..

Polymeter is when 2 or more time signatures are played simultaneously, after a specific number of beats the two meters will meet. For example, a 3/4 meter and 4/4 meter will meet after 12 beats. In “Toads Of The Short Forest” (from the album Weasels Ripped My Flesh), composer Frank Zappa explains: “At this very moment on stage we have drummer A playing in 7/8, drummer B playing in 3/4, the bass playing in 3/4, the organ playing in 5/8, the tambourine playing in 3/4, and the alto sax blowing his nose” (Mothers of Invention 1970).

The no 1 i sampled was a mediocre 70′s soul sing-a-long song so i was happy to turn it into something a bit more musically interesting

I made this iris melting video using animations made in Adobe After Effects, old VHS tapes, circuit bent computer consoles, video feedback, data bending, VDMX and mixed down through an old Sony video mixer.

I hate my brother, he’s a prick, he’s selfish, writes crappy music and is just plain annoying. Whilst we still send each other xmas cards and see each other once every 4 or 5 years we really don’t get along. I guess if i’m honest i am a bit jealous of his musical success + his amazing drumming skills and stupid round evil smug ham-like face, anyhow this ones for you bro!

There have been 77 no 1′s in the uk with the word “LOVE” in title, making it the most popular topic for songs, Every singer seems to wanna whine on about it ; “love is all around us”, “i will do anything for love”, “wouldn’t you agree, baby you and me, got a groovy kind of love” and worst of all gary glitter yelps “I love you love you love me too love i love you too love you me love” in his terribly ‘band in a tin can” produced record ‘I Love You Love Me Love’ .. I won’t bother explain this next track as it’s short and self explanatory but “i’d love you to know that i’d love it if you loved it too and showed me love back by telling me you love it.
